On Saturday July 28 at 6 PM, join the Friends of Taconic State Park for their 10th Annual Meeting, plus a BBQ supper. Renowned historian Joshua Freeman (left) is the featured speaker. Freeman’s recently published Behemoth – a History of the Factory and the Making of the Modern World, is described as “rich and ambitious” by the New York Times. He has written extensively about the history of industry, labor, modern America, and New York City and has appeared in many television documentaries, including Ric Burns’s New York. Tickets for the supper are $15; reserve early, as Ken Preusser’s BBQs always sell out.
